\u2014 Shio Amaya, Prayer in a Single Note Circle<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our journey did not begin with the idea of creating something or organizing concerts.
It began simply with a longing \u2014 a yearning for something beautiful, truly beautiful, profoundly beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not a beauty of appearance, but a beauty that moves the soul \u2014
something that can only be called true love, truth, the love of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drawn by this mysterious something, we three \u2014 Shio Amaya, Naozumi Yoshida, and Shoko Nakandakari \u2014 naturally found each other, along with violinist Tomonaga Aoyama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tomonaga Aoyama, my childhood friend, is a violinist known for performing the music of J.S. Bach \u2014 music often described as \u201ca prayer to God.\u201d
In his playing, there is no trace of human will such as \u201cI want to play it this way.\u201d
Through the long course of his life, his ego has been quieted, and within him has grown a humble heart that says, \u201cPlease, let me be used.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result, it feels as though the pure sound of God\u2019s love flows through him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deeply moved by that sound, the three of us resonated with it to the core of our being.
From this connection among the four of us, The Prayer of Single Note Circle gradually took form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On June 28, 2024, the three of us attended Aoyama\u2019s concert together for the first time and heard Bach\u2019s Goldberg Variations.
None of us could stop our tears.
In that sound lived something far beyond technical skill or expressive artistry \u2014
something unspeakably beautiful, as if it were Truth itself, Love itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That is why we could not keep that experience to ourselves.
We wanted to share this love and beauty \u2014 this something beyond this world \u2014 with all who are seeking it.
And that was the beginning of the Prayer in a Single Note Concerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These concerts are not so much a place to \u201clisten to music,\u201d
but rather a space where the quiet prayer within each person \u2014
the prayer that longs for what is truly beautiful, for truth, for God\u2019s love \u2014
can be gently remembered once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please surrender yourself to the love that flows through the sound,
and feel within yourself the resonance of true love that has always been there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We simply trust that this sound will reach all those who need it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
